A number of years ago the Australian Federal Government introduced the Goods
and Services Tax. All businesses are excempted from it, if their turn over is
under a certain level, except the taxi drivers (and owners).
The reason for this is, because the taxi meter takes the 10% GST from the
customer. So you are collecting the GST for the Tax Office, regardless of if
you like it or not.
Making a GST payment to the government can be very expensive, because you have
to do at least quater yearly GST reporting, and that means you have to hire a
Chartered Accountant to do it for you. This puts additional costs on you.
You can avoid these costs, by doing this yourself, but you still need to
understand how things work. The Taxi Software has been designed to make it
easier for you, so why not take advantage of our software?
We are selling it so cheap, it's realy not worth the risk.
